SMP-DE Waterborne Rheological Additives
SMP-DE is a finely purified and easily dispersible sodium bentonite rheological additive. The appearance is beige or white-like powder, which is non-toxic and tasteless and soft in texture.
It has excellent expansibility, colloidal dispersion, suspension and thixotropy in water. The product used in water-based system has excellent dispersibility, good pigment suspension performance, excellent water separation resistance and good splash resistance.
The product can be prepared into high-concentration pourable pregel, which simplifies the production process and reduces the thickening after the system.
Application area
Waterborne industrial coatings such as architectural latex paint coatings, water-borne inks and protective coatings.

Method of application
The dosage of SMP-HX in the formula is generally 0.1-1.0% of the total amount, which can be adjusted according to the suspension degree, rheological properties or viscosity requirements.
Weigh a certain amount of SMP-DE, slowly add it into 25-30℃ water with stirring to avoid caking, adjust the rotation speed to 1000-1500rpm, and disperse for 20-30min, so as to fully disperse and form a homogeneous gel, which can be used directly or stored for 8-24 hours.
It is recommended that the pre-dispersion concentration of SMP-HX in water is 8-12%. Generally, the pre-gel method is more effective than the direct addition dispersion method. The concentration of the gel depends on the stirring speed of the dispersion equipment and the viscosity of the product.
Packaging and storage
The outer packaging is kraft paper bag, and the inner packaging is double-layered with polyethylene film bag, or paper bag.
Usually weighing 25±0.25kg, or packaged according to user's requirements.
Stored under dry and ventilated conditions, the quality is valid for 24 months when the temperature is 0 ~ 30 C.
